Celestia TST has officially incorporated Wireless Innovative MMIC S.L. (WIMMIC) into its corporate structure, consolidating an alliance that combines cutting-edge microelectronics with comprehensive IoT solutions. The operation, approved in June, strengthens the company’s position in strategic sectors such as space, defence, telecommunications and Industry 4.0.
With this integration, Celestia TST expands its capabilities in the design of advanced integrated circuits (GaN, GaAs, CMOS, SiGe) and brings together WIMMIC’s expertise in power amplifiers, transceivers and A/D converters with its own developments in NB-IoT, LoRa, Sigfox, UWB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. The result is a portfolio of more powerful, reliable and scalable solutions, supported by collaboration with the University Institute of Applied Microelectronics (IUMA).
Founded in 2017, WIMMIC has stood out in projects funded by programmes such as EATIC and the EU’s SME Instrument, and more recently in high-impact initiatives like RISCCOM, which explores wireless communication systems based on RISC-V architecture. Its involvement in the Canary Islands Chip Cluster has also strengthened cooperation within the national and European microelectronics ecosystem.
