After three years as a collaborating entity, Celestia TST becomes part of the Board of the Innova IRV Foundation, its governing body. The incorporation was approved in the Board meeting held in Málaga on 12 June, where the Foundation presented the balance of its activities for the first half of 2026, and reinforces the company's commitment to an ecosystem that brings together companies, administrations, universities, and technological centres to promote industrial innovation in Spain.
Celestia TST has been collaborating with Innova IRV since 2023. With the decision made at the last Board meeting, the company takes a further step and integrates into the governing body of the Foundation, strengthening a relationship that has been maintained for three years.
Based in Málaga TechPark, Innova IRV works as a connection platform between companies, public administrations, universities, technological centres, and investors. The session was attended by the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, the president of the Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, and the president of the Foundation, Ezequiel Navarro. The balance presented, corresponding to the first half of 2026, was marked by advances in areas such as microelectronics, cybersecurity, water, artificial intelligence, digital health, and defence.
From that balance, two milestones are directly connected to the work of Celestia TST: the launch, together with the Digital Agency of Andalucía, of the Cybersecurity Evaluation Laboratory for IoT Products and Services and Artificial Intelligence applied to health and smart cities, and the appointment of Innova IRV as the responsible entity for the CLC Iberian Peninsula of EIT Water, a regional node for Spain and Portugal of the European community of innovation in water management. The rest of the advances of the semester can be consulted in the news published by the Foundation itself.
For Celestia TST, reinforcing its position within the Foundation consolidates its commitment to work hand in hand with the technological and industrial ecosystem on IoT, cybersecurity, and water management projects, areas in which the company provides its own hardware and real integration with the client's systems.
"Being part of the Board of Innova IRV places us where we want to be: close to companies, administrations, and the centres that are defining the direction of industrial innovation in Spain. The work of the Foundation in microelectronics, IoT cybersecurity, and water management connects directly with what we do every day, and provides the context to bring those projects to real impact," highlights Fran Alcalá, CEO of Celestia TST.
