Industrial energy monitoring: control what you spend, machine to machine, no interruptions, no friction

Every industrial plant has energy data. The problem is that most of it is scattered.

A meter on the main switchboard. A PLC on the cutting line. A SCADA system nobody has touched in years. Sensors from one manufacturer that won't talk to those from the next. Each source has its own format, its own scale, its own logic. And across all of them, nobody really knows what it costs to run each machine — or how much energy goes into making each part.

That is precisely what Nebula Energy solves.

The real problem: the data exists, but it doesn't speak the same language

When we talk to plant managers and production leads, the pattern is consistent: they have infrastructure, they have partial measurement, they may even have a dashboard someone put together years ago. But the data isn't available to be used.

Homogenising energy data means something specific: making the dispersed data from different machines and control panels comparable and exploitable. In other words, a shift supervisor and a finance director can look at the same figure and understand it in exactly the same way.

Nebula Energy: from dispersed sources to a single, useful data layer

Nebula Energy does not arrive at your plant to replace what you already have. It arrives to connect it, unify it, and make sense of it.

The solution captures data from your machines using industrial LoRaWAN sensors - no wiring, no building works, no production downtime, no operational risk. The result is a single platform where all the consumption data from your plant coexists, with full visibility from day one.

"Not every client is looking for the same thing. Some need to detect inefficiencies: idle consumption, phase imbalance, reactive energy, billing errors. Others generate Energy Savings Certificates or have CO₂ targets to meet. The platform adapts to each case because the starting point is always the same: real consumption, machine by machine", says Iván Bermejo, head of Nebula Energy at Celestia TST.

Cómo funciona NebulaEnergy

What does having the unified data actually give you?

The most immediate result is real visibility into what is happening on the shop floor: unproductive energy in the form of idle consumption outside of shifts hours, demand peaks that inflate your electricity bill, phase imbalances, accumulated reactive energy, or equipment with multiple resets that no one had linked to energy costs. Problems that existed before, but were simply invisible without organised data.

The second level is the control and allocation of energy costs by production lines. When you know how much energy each machine or line consumes, you can allocate that cost accurately: by product reference, by production shift, by batch. This changes the conversation in financial terms: you are no longer estimating, you are measuring.

The third is the documentary evidence. Nebula Energy generates the data, the KPIs, and audit trail you need to obtain Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs), validate CO₂ reductions, support your ESG strategy, or prepare an ISO 50001 audit without building anything from scratch. Everything is centralised, exportable, and auditable from day one.

Energy data does not exist in isolation; it integrates with your ERP and Power BI. This way, energy ceases to be an opaque item in the profit and loss account and becomes something you can measure, allocate, and act on.

What changes when energy data is unified

For production and maintenance, the KPIs are directly actionable: kWh per shift, kWh per unit produced, kW per hour of production, kWh per process. They are not estimates; they are real figures, per machine, available when you need them. Now you can act on deviations the same day they occur, not the following month.

For the financial team, energy costs are allocated by line, shift, or product reference without manual work. Reporting stops being something you prepare and becomes something that is already done, with traceable data ready for any internal or external review.

For regulatory compliance: Nebula Energy provides the data layer, KPIs, and evidence you need to facilitate compliance with ISO 50001: energy baseline, performance indicators by process, identification of significant energy uses, and comparisons before or after any improvement actions. Everything is centralised, exportable, and auditable.

No endless projects. No dependencies.

One of the most common barriers to addressing industrial submetering is the perception that it is a long, expensive project with heavy supplier dependency.

With Nebula Energy, the client starts to see useful data within weeks. The solution works with open industrial protocols and standards, no lock-in to any manufacturer, requires no construction or changes to existing infrastructure, and scales at your pace: start with the most critical lines and grow from there.

The evidence across the sector is consistent: plants that implement submetering achieve reductions of between 15% and 25% on their energy bills, with a return on investment of between 12 and 24 months.

Nebula Energy: Escalable, sin cables, integrada

The team deploying it understands real OT/IT environments. They do not arrive with a manual: they come with over 18 years of experience on industrial projects and a commitment to support that does not end when the installation does.

Control what you spend on energy. Without changing anything you already have.

"What we find in almost all plants is the same: the data is there, but no one can use it. The technology exists, we just need to know which to apply and where. With over 18 years in industrial projects, what we bring is not just the solution: it is the criteria to choose it well. That is exactly what we do," says Iván Bermejo, head of Nebula Energy at Celestia TST

The first step is to see what you currently can´t. In 30 minutes we can confirm if Nebula Energy fits into your plant, how many measurement points you would need, and what you could start measuring in the first few weeks.
